Red Ribbon Week...

This week is Red Ribbon Week at my school. This is our fight against drugs. We wore our favorite team shirt on Monday (Go Gators!), hats today, red tomorrow, mismatch on Thursday, and school colors on Friday. The kids love this kind of stuff...and so do I! I wore a Hurley hat today...a little of to the side...just like me =)! This kind of stuff helps the school come together as a community and a family. The kids are able to relate to their teachers and see a different side of us!

Those types of events really do help build school pride. I was disappointed when I realized my school was not going to take part in Red Ribbon Week. Glad to hear your students enjoyed it!

Those events really give the kids a sense of family and community. My school recognized it and it was a lot of fun. Monday was "Lei off Drugs" and we wore a lei. Tuesday was "Hugs Not Drugs" and we brought a stuffed animal. Wednesday was crazy hat day. Thursday was crazy socks day. Friday was crazy hair day (my favorite). I had a hair appointment after school and walked into the salon with my crazy hair. It was great!
